Dr. Alka Walter will be the new Medical Director of Family Medicine OB Services. Dr. Walter completed her family medicine residency at the University of Iowa in 2017 and joined faculty in May of 2018.  She serves as the supervising physician with the Health Path Clinic with Johnson County Public Health, provides care at the Free Medical Clinic and the International Family Medicine Clinic and is the Family Medicine Residency 9024 Rotation Director.  In her role as the Medical Director of Family Medicine OB Services, Alka will have major oversight of the clinical and educational programs related to obstetrics and women’s health within the Department of Family Medicine.  She will work closely with the Residency Program Director, the Pre-Doctoral Education Director, and the multiple Family Medicine clinic medical directors to ensure optimal care for our patients, education for our learners, and efficiencies for our providers.
