Program Description

Our fundamental philosophy is to:

  • Train Family Medicine Physician Assistants (FMPA) with the core competencies and skills sets needed to provide comprehensive care in an outpatient clinic setting to individuals and families of all ages and walks of life.
  • Focus on a collaborative patient-centered team approach to preventative medicine and chronic disease management.
  • Assist the FMPA in identifying gaps in her/his knowledge or experiences to develop a plan for self-directed learning.
  • Integrate cost-effective medical decision making to complement patient care goals.
