Registration Information

Pre-registration is required for the Annual Family Medicine Refresher Course. Course fees include registration, tuition and online handouts.

Registration Fees: Registration Deadline April 8, 2024

                                Registration for one-day virtual course: $175.00

                                Registration for two-day virtual course: $300.00

                                Registration for three-day virtual course: $450.00

Zoom links will be emailed to registered participants a few days before the course.  Each day will have a unique Zoom ID.

Payment: Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover & American Express), will be accepted.

Refund: All but $25.00 of the fee is refundable in inability to attend is made known on or before April 1, 2024 

Accreditation: 

Physician: The University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 18.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

 

In support of improving patient care, the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

 

 


AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™ toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed credit earned must be reported as Prescribed, not as Category 1.


 

Advanced Practice Providers and Other Professionals: A CME Certificate of Participation will be provided.   

Social Worker: As a Jointly Accredited Organization, the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this course receive 18.75 continuing education credit(s)         

Other Professionals: A Certificate of Attendance will be provided.
