Family Medicine Preceptorship

FAM:8301 (115:300) Family Medicine Preceptorship is a required course. Students spend 4 weeks on-site, working full-time with a board-certified Iowa family physician who has volunteered to teach. Students rate this course very highly. Complete files with details about each preceptor and site and evaluations from all prior students are on file in the Family Medicine Student Resource Room. Students will select and enroll beginning in the late fall of their M2 year. Students receive personal, individual assistance from Medical Student Education staff in site selection. Jill Endres, MD  is course director.
