Stephanie Alberico, a graduate student in the Narayanan Lab, recently won the University of Iowa's Graduate Research Excellence Award and was awarded third place at the Jakobsen Memorial Conference. Congratulations, Stephanie!

The Graduate Research Excellence Awards honor students in terminal degree programs conducting research and scholarly activity that is recognized as highly original work and makes a significant contribution to the field. Eligible students shall have completed a minimum of two years of graduate work in the current program of study and doctoral programs must be post comp. 

Top candidates in each broad discipline area are required to give a research presentation to the selection committee. This award process is conducted annually in partnership with the Research Council and the Graduate College.
