Symptoms of chronic parotitis persisting for one year were associated with complete obstruction of the distal Stensen's duct at entry site into the oral cavity.
Puncture of the thin occluding membrane permitted dynamic video-sialography showing an accordion-like collapse of a dilated and lengthened segment of the parotid duct.
