Mitochondrial dysfunction in vascular disease.
Our research focuses on the intersection of calcium- and ROS-dependent signaling pathway in atherosclerosis, cancer therapy-induced vascular disease and hypertension, with a particular interest in mitochondrial function. Specifically, we use a in vitro assays, vascular physiology, in vivo imaging, high-throughput assays, proteomics, and gene arrays to understanding the fundamental mechanistic basis and specific role of mitochondrial Ca2+ handling.
