AMMSA at CCOM is a branch of the national American Muslim Medical Student Association, which was established in 2020 by two medical students and has now grown to 100+ chapters across the nation. The goal of AMMSA is to provide a spiritually focused community for Muslim medical students to uplift themselves and their community. The purpose of AMMSA at CCOM is to provide a branch that is specifically run by medical students/physician assistant students who attend the Carver College of Medicine. This also serves as a point of contact for students interested in attending events hosted by the national team, such as the annual AMMSA Research Conference which is an opportunity for students to present their work.
