Graduate student Wadie Mahauad-Fernandez, who works in Dr. Chioma Okeoma's lab, recently presented an interactive, hands-on STEM session in Microbiology to a group of 7th-grade students.  A total of 1,203 kids attended the UI Health Care STEM and Workplace Learning Connection Programs offered on November 23-24  on campus. Students came from surrounding schools including Iowa City, West Branch,  Williamsburg, Iowa Valley, and Lone Tree to attend the event.
