A special congratulation goes out to Dr. Chioma Okeoma, Assistant Professor of Microbiology. On November 10th, Professor Okeoma was recognized with the Research Innovation & Leadership Award from The Des Moines Area Community College Iowa Women of Innovation, presented by the Technology Association of Iowa. Okeoma leads a team committed to cutting-edge research that extends the limits of our understanding of host restriction factors. Her discoveries have contributed in revolutionizing the field of HIV and Breast Cancer.
