Younes Rouabhi, an undergraduate student in the laboratory of Dr. Kamal Rahmouni, was recently awarded a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship from the American Physiological Society. This fellowship will allow Younes to participate in hands-on research in the laboratory for 10 weeks. He will be investigating how certain proteins in the liver regulate glucose homeostasis and their contribution to the development of insulin resistance and diabetes.
