The vigorous research environment found in the Department of Molecular Physiology and Biophysics is the natural result of active individual laboratories and collaborative work within the department.

The combination of established senior faculty laboratories and the energetic drive of newer faculty members contribute to a constant stream of first rate publications and an ever expanding base of external research funding.

Although faculty in the department come from diverse backgrounds they each make their own unique contribution to a number of thriving collaborative research efforts. The department is currently composed of 35 faculty members, 18 of whom hold primary appointments in Molecular Physiology and Biophysics.
