We are pleased to announce that Brandi T. Nicholson, MD, Clinical Professor of Radiology, has been appointed the new Director of the Breast Imaging Fellowship Program.
Dr. Nicholson, a native Iowan, grew up in Iowa City and completed her medical education here at the University of Iowa College of Medicine. She later went on to complete her radiology residency training, followed by a fellowship in breast imaging, at the University of Virginia (UVA) in Charlottesville, VA. Upon completion of her fellowship, Dr. Nicholson served as faculty at UVA until joining the Breast Imaging Division at UIHC in November 2018. While at UVA, she served as Medical Director for UVA's Breast Care Program at Culpeper Medical Center.
Dr. Nicholson brings with her a wealth of experience and scholarship in the area of breast imaging, and we are excited for her leadership.
We wish also to thank Leonel Vasquez, MD, for his leadership and contributions the Breast Imaging Fellowship Program in his role as Director from 2015-2018.
