We are deeply grateful to Dr. Wendy Smoker, a leader in the field of neuroradiology, for both her accomplishments in the field and her incredible generosity.  Dr. Smoker was a pioneer for women in radiology generally, and in developing the field of head and neck imaging in particular. She developed an international reputation as a superb clinician, clinical researcher, and educator, and he helped to put Iowa on the map for neuroradiology. She has also provided this department and institution years of dedicated leadership as a senior faculty and division director.  She continues to give amazing lectures on head and neck imaging for our fellows.  Her generous gift to fund a professorship in neuroradiology demonstrates her ongoing support of our mission.
