Introduction

Born Jersey City, NJ. Raised in and attended schools in Linden NJ. Attended Brown University in undergraduate studies, with summer research at Columbia University, graduate school at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and postdoctoral studies at The University of Michigan including three years in the Michigan Society of Fellows.
