Erica Carlisle, MD
Associate Professor of Surgery - Pediatric Surgery
Introduction
Dr. Carlisle’s research focuses on surgical ethics. She completed a Fellowship in Clinical Medical Ethics at the University of Chicago MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics, and she is currently an Affiliate Faculty member in the Program in Bioethics and Humanities at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. Dr. Carlisle's research focuses on decision making and autonomy in complex pediatric surgical decision making. She also serves as a consultant on the Hospital's Ethics Consult Service and Co-Chairs the UIHC Ethics Working Group.
