Research Summary

Dr. Bashir clinical and teaching interests are in Adult cardiac surgery, minimally invasive valve surgery, Robotic assisted CABGs and transcatheter therapy. Dr Bashir is heavily involved in fellow, resident and medical student education serving as the associate program director of Thoracic surgery residency. He is involved in multiple clinical trials in valve surgery PARTNER II trial, Magna mitral 23 study and Magna mitral post-approval study. He continues to mentor multiple clinical research projects in endocarditis, TMR and sternal closures.
