Robert Bertellotti, MD

Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery - Acute Care Surgery

Introduction

Robert Bertellotti, MD, is a Clinical Associate Professor of the Burn Unit in the Department of Surgery. Before joining University of Iowa Health Care, Dr. Bertellotti worked as a Doctor of Medicine at Creighton University of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska where he received his medical degree (2003). Bertellotti completed his Burn Surgery fellowship at the University of California Davis Medical Center/Shriners Hospital for Children (2013) and his fellowship in Adult Surgical Critical Care at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago (2014). Bertellotti's research interests include TpA for frostbite and Lidocaine IV for procedural pain. Dr. Bertellotti has authored several peer-reviewed publications and recently served as Interim Director of Burn Surgery and Fellowship Program Director at University of Iowa Health Care.
