Once admitted to our graduate program, the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department will pay all tuition costs, will cover a significant portion of the cost of health and dental benefits, and will provide a stipend to cover living expenses of $34,500 (for the academic year 2024-2025). Continued support beyond the first year is guaranteed, provided that progress toward degree completion of the degree requirements is satisfactory. Sources of financial support come from training grants, scholarships, awards, etc. In addition, students are encouraged to apply for UI or national fellowships.
