Departmental and Collegiate Resources
The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology occupies 36,700 net square feet on the 4th floor of the Bowen Science Building (BSB), 7,500 net square feet on the 3rd floor of the Medical Education and Research Facility (MERF), and 130 net square feet in the Multi-tenant Facility (MTF) at Oakdale Research Park.
In addition to the 19 well equipped research laboratories, there are departmental resources including Biochemistry Stores, the Mattill Biochemistry Reading Room, the Heath Conference Room, and other conference rooms equipped with SMART boards and projectors. There are also a variety of shared departmental instruments available for use. Key instruments include the following:

- Jasco Spectropolarimeter model J815 (2010)
- Horiba Fluorlog-3 Spectrofluorometer (2010)
- Beckman Coulter Ultra XLI Analytical Centrifuge (1996)
