2018 UI Health Care Martin Luther King Jr. Human Rights Week

Date: Thursday, January 4, 2018

In a memorable 1967 speech, Martin Luther King Jr. asked an important question of American society: Where do we go from here?

Fifty years later, the question remains.

Join us in celebrating Dr. King’s legacy, and continuing to pursue meaningful answers to important questions.

Angela Rye, Principal and CEO of IMPACT Strategies, CNN Political Commentator, and NPR Political Analyst, will be our guest speaker for the Martin Luther King Jr. Distinguished Lecture, giving her insight into the question, “Where do we go from here?” Her lecture begins at noon Thursday, Jan. 18 in the Prem Sahai Auditorium, 1110 MERF.

All week long you can participate in the book drive for the Patient Library, buy socks for the Warm the Sole Sock Drive, take the CultureVision scavenger hunt challenge, and support the DeGowin Blood Center with a donation. You can also sample international foods and listen to a variety of great music from all over the world. Watch Noon News each day for that day’s activities.
