Workshop: Caring for Self While Caring for Others

Please join us for a staff workshop, “Caring for Self While Caring for Others: You’re Hardy and You Know It,” provided by Dr. Barry Schreier on Thursday, May 18 beginning at 11:30 a.m. in the Radiation Oncology Conference Room.
 
Dr. Schreier is the Director of Higher Ed Programming in the Scanlan Center for School Mental Health and Clinical Professor of Counseling, Psychology, University of Iowa College of Education. Dr. Schreier acknowledges our work calls for us to be thoughtful and caring, especially when others struggle. Managing our own struggles while helping others with their struggles can be challenging, especially in this time of significant world and workplace change. The workshop focuses on capitalizing on our positives so we can best care for ourselves while caring for others. The program takes an identities-based, mental health and well-being focus.
