Progress 2023: Learning Together in the 21st Century

Overview
Emphasizing the interprofessional team approach to patient care, this program combines annual internal medicine and pharmacy continuing education programs into a single multi-track program offering plenary sessions, breakout sessions, and current hot topics in a combined interprofessional format. Topics include updates and practice changes in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, General Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Hospital Medicine, Neurology, and Psychology.

Target Audience
Specialties - Family Medicine, Internal Medicine
Professions - Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Pharmacist, Physician, Physician Assistant

Objectives
Discuss the basic pathophysiology of various disease states including, ID, gastroenterology, neurology/psychiatry general internal medicine and hospitalist medicine.
Compare and contrast the safety and efficacy of various treatment options.
Apply clinical reasoning skills and current treatment guidelines to patient cases.
