Read on the Rug is back with monthly offerings!

Join us on the second Wednesday of each month in Iowa Hall at the UI Museum of Natural History for Read on the Rug. Ideal for families with kiddos aged 2-5, all are welcome to this free educational program. This program series was designed with our youngest museum lovers in mind. Come along as we build community and inspire a sense of wonder, curiosity, and respect for our natural and cultural worlds with stories, sing-alongs, and more in one of the most special places in Iowa City—no matter your age.

We'll meet in Iowa Hall. To access this space, use the main entrance on the east side of Macbride Hall or take the elevator with street level access just south of the main steps to the first floor and enter the south doors of Iowa Hall. Your museum staff and our program mascot Lumpy the Woolly Mammoth will see you there!

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa–sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact Jessica Smith in advance at (319)512-2958 or jessica-smith-7@uiowa.edu
