Michele Norris, Washington Post columnist and author, will deliver the Martin Luther King Jr. Distinguished Lecture during the 2024 UI Health Care Human Rights Week celebration.

The lecture will be held at noon Tuesday, Jan. 23, the Prem Sahai Auditorium, 1110A MERF. A Zoom option is available for those unable to attend in-person. The title of the presentation is "Our Hidden Conversations." A reception and book signing with follow the lecture in the Robillard Atrium.

Michele Norris is a Washington Post columnist, former host of NPR’s longest-running program All Things Considered, founder of The Race Card Project, and author of The Grace of Silence: A Memoir as well as Our Hidden Conversations: What Americans Really Think About Race. Norris is also host of Your Mama’s Kitchen, a new podcast produced by Higher Ground, which explores the complexities of family life.
