The Department of Biology’s seminar on Friday, May 3, is the 19th Harold W. Beams Lecture featuring Jing W. Wang, from the University of California San Diego, as the speaker. Dr. Wang’s talk will be held at 4 p.m. in Kollros Auditorium (Room 101) in Biology Building East (BBE). A reception with refreshments will follow the lecture in Room 106, BBE. Dr. Wang is a UI Biology alumnus who completed his PhD under Professor Chun-Fang Wu. The Harold W. Beams Lecture was established to recognize Dr. Beams as an outstanding scientist and teacher at the University of Iowa for 41 years (1930-1971). This is the last scheduled Biology seminar of the semester. We hope you will join us!
