Students and their faculty mentors will present their work in the global health realm and will discuss their working collaboration and research focus. Light refreshments will be served.

Faculty and student presentations include:

  • Stepping Up: Building Leadership in Sexual and Reproductive Health Through Global Collaboration, presented by Dr. William T. Story, associate professor in the Department of Community and Behavioral Health in the UI College of Public Health, and graduate student Abigail A. Leein
  • Increasing Capacity for Injury Research in Eastern Europe (iCREATE): Student Perspectives from Injury and Violence Prevention Summer School in Romania presented by Dr. Cara Hamann, associate professor of epidemiology in the UI College of Public Health, and graduate students Stephanie Jansson and Emily Jester
     

Hosted by the Iowa Global Health Network, an International Programs affinity group, which is an interdisciplinary group of scholars at Iowa whose research and interests lie in the study of real-world health problems and challenges. The network provides opportunities for cross disciplinary interaction, development of new scholarly and clinical initiatives, and fosters collaboration among those interested in global health at the University of Iowa.
