Informed Consent Documentation - A Writing Workshop
The informed consent document is a cornerstone of ethical human subjects protections. The researcher must craft the document to be an informational resource, both at the time of consent and throughout the subject’s participation in the study. Join the IRB Education & Outreach Group for a hands-on workshop on how to utilize the HawkIRB informed consent document template, and get experience writing your own consent document. We will be discussing:
- Required elements of informed consent
- Practical tips for describing study design and procedures
- Hands-on experience with creating a consent document
Note: This workshop will exclusively focus on writing the consent document. We will conduct a future workshop on conducting the informed consent process.
