August AWS User Group meeting
Join us Tuesday 8/28 from 12-1pm in 2840 UCC for the UI AWS User Group.
This is an opportunity to talk with other AWS users on campus, learn about new services, and ask questions.
This month we'll have a discussion around three projects from around campus:
Cody Johnson will talk about how migrating to AWS allowed Strategic Communications to scale live streaming events like graduation and Dance Marathon to meet demand.
Bob Ramsey will talk about a project for Admissions that creates and delivers personalized videos to new admits in timely and cost-effective manner.
Michael Alberhasky will talk about the Radar project, in production for ~18 months, that takes advantage of a large number of AWS services including a content delivery network, serverless functions, streaming data services, map/reduce, and data warehouse.
