Isabella Grumbach, MD, PhD, Associate Professor in Cardiovascular Medicine, has accepted an invitation to join the Vascular Cell and Molecular Biology study section of the NIH’s Center for Scientific Review. During her six-year term, Dr. Grumbach will review and make recommendations on grant applications submitted to the NIH, as well as continuously survey the status of research in her field of science.

The Director of the Center, Dr. Richard Nakamura, cited Dr. Grumbach’s demonstrated competence and achievement, the quality of her research accomplishments and publications, as well as her “mature judgment and objectivity.” Congratulations to Dr. Grumbach and best wishes as she assumes this important responsibility helping shape the future of national biomedical research.
