Dr. Yumi Imai, Associate Professor of Endocrinology and Metabolism, has accepted an invitation to join the Molecular and Cellular Endocrinology study section of the NIH’s Center for Scientific Review. During her four-year term, Dr. Imai will review and make recommendations on grant applications submitted to the NIH, as well as continuously survey the status of research in her field of science.

The Director of the Center, Dr. Richard Nakamura, cited Dr. Imai’s demonstrated competence and achievement, the quality of her research accomplishments and publications, as well as her “mature judgment and objectivity.” Congratulations to Dr. Imai and best wishes as she assumes this important responsibility helping shape the future of national biomedical research.
