Hospitalist physician entering a patient room

The Division of General Internal Medicine is the academic home to outpatient general internal medicine, inpatient hospital medicine, supportive and palliative care, geriatrics medicine, and health services research. Our faculty play an integral role in providing high quality patient care, educating our future physicians, and leading the way in innovative research. We invite you to explore the opportunities the Division of General Internal Medicine has to offer.

Outpatient General Internal Medicine

The Division of General Internal Medicine offers general internists opportunities to build a successful ambulatory care practice and the ability to provide comprehensive, coordinated, and evidence-based primary care to our adult patients. Division faculty also participate in specialty clinical practices, including LGBTQ Health, Weight Management, and Post-COVID Care. Faculty are encouraged to engage in educational opportunities, through didactic and clinical teaching to medical students and residents, quality improvement initiatives, and scholarly projects. The division strives to provide a high-quality primary care home for our patients and a supportive academic environment for our faculty.
