Admissions Committee
The Admissions Committee reviews and selects applicants for admission to Carver College of Medicine.
Clinical Experience Committee
The Clinical Experience Committee reviews and provides input to the MEC regarding clerkship objectives, enhances the integration of foundational science within clinical curriculum, and conducts reviews on targeted areas of need within curriculum.
Medical Arts and Sciences Committee (login using IOWA domain)
The Medical Arts and Sciences Committee (MASC) has primary responsibility for the implementation and management of the preclinical medical curriculum. This committee consists of course directors for all required first and second year courses, students, and staff from the Office of Student Affairs and Curriculum as well as other academic service departments within the Carver College of Medicine.
Medical Education Council
The Medical Education Council is the executive body responsible for the design, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum.
Medical Student Appeals Committee
The Medical Student Appeals Committee meets to hear student appeals of the decisions made by the Executive Associate Dean.
Medical Student Government (SAG)
The Student Government is composed of 10 students that are responsible for the organization and execution of student interests, representation, and needs within the Carver College of Medicine.
Medical Student Honor Council
The Medical Student Honor Council upholds the Honor Code and ensures the students and faculty are aware of the requirements
Medical Student Promotions Committee
The Promotions Committee reviews the academic performance of students, and at other times to review students with academic behavioral/disciplinary problems.
Medical Student Wellness Committee
The Medical Student Wellness Committee works to create a culture of self-care at CCOM, and to support and promote individual and community well-being.
Liaison Committees (Caduceus)
Caduceus is the Student Committee on Medical Education. They strive to evaluate and enhance educational opportunities at the college.
