About the Department

The Department of Microbiology and Immunology is one of five basic science departments in the Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine at The University of Iowa. The Department is composed of 24 primary tenure-track, tenured, and research faculty, 2 lecturers, and 8 secondary faculty.  The Department has a long history of excellence in teaching, research, and service in Microbiology and Immunology.

Attend a half-day orientation. All staff and faculty receive an invitation, by campus mail, to a monthly UI orientation scheduled closest to their first day of employment.
