Department of Neurology Research Specialist Nicole Kressin has been selected as the recipient of the 2022 University of Iowa Health Care Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Leadership Award. The award is presented to "an individual and/or group who have exhibited an outstanding committment to diversity, inclusion, and/or equity through their leadership contributions." Kressin has "demonstrated excellence in leadership through [her] passion and [commitment] to enhancing DEI initiatives. [She is] acknowledged nationally and internationally for [her] DEI initiatives within neurology clinical trials." Kressin also serves as the leader of the Department of Neurology DEI book club. The award was announced on June 2, 2022 during the welcome and announcements for Keynote Address of the Culturally Responsive Health Care in Iowa Conference.
