Andrea Greiner, MD, has been promoted to interim division director and fellowship director of the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Greiner has clinical expertise as a prenatal diagnostician and is an expert in both inpatient and outpatient perinatal care.

She completed her undergraduate training, doctorate, and residency at the University of Missouri. Greiner performed her maternal-fetal medicine fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, followed by holding faculty positions at the University of Missouri and University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She has been a member of the division at UI Hospitals and Clinics for approximately nine years, most recently serving as the director of the Fetal Diagnosis and Therapy Unit.  She has honed her leadership skills further by entering the master’s in health administration program at the University of Iowa, which has prepared her very well for her new role.
