Kampala, Uganda
- A research collaborative with MUJHU Research Collaborative looking at presence of and risk factors for pelvic floor disorders in a cohort of parous Ugandan women. Dr. Kim Kenne has mentored 5 medical students on away research electives to complete this project wrapping up May 2023.
- Results were presented at the medical student research day 2022, have been accepted for presentation at IUGA 2023, and will be submitted for publication. Currently looking to complete an interventional study at this site.
Lucas do Rio Verde, Brazil

Quality improvement project with San Lucas do Rio Verde Hospital with a focus on improving care in general obstetrics and gynecology at a rural hospital in west central Brazil.
Urogynecology Fellowship in Ethiopia
- An educational venture which focusses on training fistula surgeons to perform full scope urogynecologic care through a fellowship training program- partnership between Hamlin Fistula Hospital Ethiopia, Mekelle University, and various academic medical centers in developed countries (US, Germany, Brazil).
