Nick Borcherding, an MSTP student performing his thesis work in the laboratory of Dr. Weizhou Zhang, was recently named to two University of Iowa Presidential Charter committees. He was appointed to the University of Iowa Research Council and was named Chair of the Recreational Services Committee. As part of his service on the UI Research Council, Nick will assist in the formulation, review and application of guidelines for research and economic development for the University. As chair of the Recreational Services Committee he will serve in an advisory role in the University of Iowa Fieldhouse renovation, as well as help with an overview of recreational policies and programs.
