Scott Steward-Tharp, DDS, PhD, resident in Oral Pathology at the College of Dentistry and postdoctoral researcher in the laboratory of Dr. Nitin Karandikar, was selected as a trainee on an Institutional National Research Service Award (NRSA T90) from the National Institute of Dental & Craniofacial Research. This funding through the Institutional Training Program in Oral Health Research at the College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics will provide support for him to continue the laboratory’s investigation of potential immunoregulatory roles of CD8 T cells.
