Our Eighth Annual Pathology Research Day was held on Tuesday, October 22, 2013. Morning research presentations by faculty, trainees and staff took place in the HP Smith Conference Room (W256 GH) and the plenary presentation was held at 1:00 PM in the Medical Education and Research Facility (2117 MERF). The poster presentations for viewing were in the Eckstein Medical Research Building (EMRB Atrium). The event was an opportunity for Pathology researchers to share their research projects, latest findings and knowledge about topics inherent to their daily work and career. The day included a full schedule of presenters covering a variety of research topics. Research posters were displayed throughout the day.
The Department of Pathology invited Dr. Jay Hess as the plenary speaker. Dr. Hess is the Dean at Indiana University School of Medicine and Vice President for University Clinical Affairs at Indiana University.
The title of his talk is: “Mechanisms of HOX Protein-Mediated Leukemogenesis”.
