Bing Li, PhD
Professor of Pathology
Introduction
The goals of our research program are to understand the role of fatty acid binding proteins (FABPs) that regulate immune cell lipid metabolism and function in the setting of high fat diet (HFD)-induced obesity and obesity-associated chronic inflammation, cancer risk and other diseases.
Current Projects:
High fat diet-induced obesity and immunoregulation
Adipose FABP (A-FABP) in linking obesity-associated breast cancer risk
Targeting A-FABP for treatment of obesity-associated diseases.
Epidermal FABP (E-FABP) in the pathogenesis of psoriasis and other inflammatory skin diseases
