Please welcome Dr. Amy Stanford and Dr. Lindsey Knake as Clinical Assistant Professors in the Division of Neonatology.
Dr. Stanford received her BS from Iowa State University in 2010. She completed all of her medical training at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinical and the University of Iowa Stead Family Department of Pediatrics. Dr. Stanford received her Medical Degree in 2014, completed pediatric residency training in 2017, completed Neonatal-Perinatal fellowship training in 2020 and recently completed Neonatal Hemodynamics fellowship training here at the University of Iowa. She is board certified in Pediatrics and board eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
Dr. Stanford will expand availability in Neonatal Services, including attending on the inpatient and consultation services. Dr Stanford will be a member of the Hemodynamics Consultation service and will contribute to the UISFCH Children’s Hospital transport team. Her academic interest will focus on neonatal cardiopulmonary follow-up and Dr Stanford plans to establish an interprofessional cardiopulmonary follow-up program for extremely preterm infants.
Dr. Knake received her BS from the University of Iowa in 2011 and completed her medical degree from the same institution in 2015. Next, she completed Pediatric Residency training at Baylor College of Medicine in 2018 and she recently completed her Neonatal-Perinatal fellowship. In addition, she is enrolled in Master of Science Program for Biomedical Informatics at Vanderbilt University. She is board certified in Pediatrics and board eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
Dr. Knake will support growth of the Neonatal Program, including attending on the inpatient and consultation services. Dr. Knake has unique expertise in Medical Informatics and will support growth in Informatics both within the Division of Neonatology and the Department of Pediatrics in collaboration with the Chief Medical Informatics Office. Her specific research focus relates to the use of EHR in Clinical Decision Support for Neonatal care.
