Please welcome Dr. Rajat Sharma as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Hematology/Oncology.
Dr. Sharma received his primary medical degree (MBBS) followed by post-graduate MD degree from the Jawharlal Lal Nehru Medical College & Hospital in 2008. He completed Clinical Fellowship training in Pediatric Oncology at the Tata Memorial Cancer Centre, Mumbai, India in 2013, followed by an additional clinical fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the Hospital for Sick Children, University of Toronto, Canada in 2016. In 2018, he became board-certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Since 2016, he has been a Clinical Associate (attending physician) in the Department of Pediatrics/Division of Hematology-Oncology-Stem cell transplantation at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
Dr. Sharma joins the Division of Hematology/Oncology to provide care to the patients requiring Stem cell transplantation (SCT) and CAR-T cell therapy. He will be attending on the inpatient and consultation services. His clinical research interests are focused on optimizing outcome parameters in patients undergoing SCT by employing experimental therapeutics through the involved participation in the national consortium clinical trials.
