Current Research Focus
Dr. Schultz research is focused on improving educational approaches in pediatrics and pediatric rheumatology. Her specialized research interests include clinical reasoning in ambiguous situations and ways to improve musculoskeletal education for undergraduate and graduate medical learners. She focuses on a pragmatist paradigm, allowing for ways qualitative and quantitative methodologies can be mixed and/or integrated to answer her research questions.
Current Research Focus
Dr. Yasin research program focuses on autoinflammatory conditions in pediatric rheumatology, including chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis (CRMO) and systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis (sJIA). She is interested in better understanding the epidemiology, natural history of diseases, and diagnostic and disease activity biomarkers in disease with the long term goal of shifting to personalized medicine approach in the diagnosis and treatment of these disorders.
