University of Iowa Stead Family Department of Pediatrics seeks a Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics Physician.  Appointment rank is open and may be to either the tenure track or clinical (non-tenure) track consistent with clinical experience and research interest.  Appointment rank to Associate of Pediatrics (non-tenure track) may also be considered.  The individual selected will join the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics to provide patient care, teaching, and consultative services. The Division is comprised of nine faculty, and is a national leader in research, with three successful NIH-funded investigators.  The Division works closely with the University of Iowa Center for Disabilities and Development, which has been Iowa’s University Center for Excellence on Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) since 1972. The Center for Disabilities and Development integrates a broad array of clinical services in one location, including developmental and behavioral pediatrics, psychology, speech-language pathology, occupational and physical therapy, social work, education, audiology, and nursing, and thus provides an ideal environment for exceptional patient care, education and research. The Center is also the home of Iowa’s LEND (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities) program, and has provided outstanding interdisciplinary training in neurodevelopmental disabilities for over two decades.
