The Division is comprised of nine faculty, and is a national leader in research, with three successful NIH-funded investigators.  The Division works closely with the University of Iowa Center for Disabilities and Development, which has been Iowa’s University Center for Excellence on Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) since 1972. The Center for Disabilities and Development integrates a broad array of clinical services in one location, including developmental and behavioral pediatrics, psychology, speech-language pathology, occupational and physical therapy, social work, education, audiology, and nursing, and thus provides an ideal environment for exceptional patient care, education and research. The Center is also the home of Iowa’s LEND (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities) program, and has provided outstanding interdisciplinary training in neurodevelopmental disabilities for over two decades.

The successful candidate will join a growing pediatric neurology division of eight faculty members including two epileptologists, and three ARNPs.  The division has a child neurology residency program.  Child neurology is housed in Pediatrics, and has close interactions with Neurology and Neurosurgery.
