Aamer Imdad, MD, MPH
Introduction
Dr. Imdad is a physician-scientist with clinical expertise in Pediatric Gastroenterology and a research focus on childhood nutrition. He is interested in nutrition in the first 1000 days of life (from conception to 2 years of life), and its impact on growth and neurodevelopment during childhood and later in life. He is also interested in feeding difficulties in premature babies and focused on clinical and translational research to increase the rates of oral feedings at the time of discharge from the neonatal intensive care unit. In addition to his research focus on childhood nutrition, Dr. Imdad has methodological expertise in evidence synthesis, has produced more than fifty systematic reviews and meta-analyses, and has participated in guideline development with the American Gastroenterology Association.
