Carolina Quintana Grijalba, MD
Introduction
Dr. Quintana Grijalba began as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Critical Care on September 6, 2022.
Dr. Quintana Grijalba received her MD from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in 2009. She completed a postdoctoral research fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School in 2014. Next, she completed pediatric residency training at the University of Connecticut in 2017 and pediatric pulmonology fellowship training at Baylor College of Medicine in 2020. Most recently, she completed a Pediatric Critical Care Medicine fellowship at the University of Washington in June, 2022. She is board certified in Pediatrics and is board eligible in Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Quintana Grijalba joins the Division of Critical Care to provide inpatient coverage. She will attend on both of the PICU inpatient teams, share on-call responsibilities, participate in teaching and educational activities within the Department and to help continue the development of the Critical Care program in the Stead Family Department of Pediatrics. Her current research interests include chronic mechanical ventilation and acute respiratory distress syndrome.
