Inna Polyakova Powers, MD, RhMSUS

Clinical Assistant Professor

Introduction

Dr. Inna Powers is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Pediatric Rheumatology. She completed her rheumatology fellowship training in University of Colorado and joined the faculty at University of Iowa in 2024. She is certified in musculoskeletal ultrasonography through the American College of Rheumatology. She has a clinical interest in using ultrasonography as a helpful, cost-effective, radiation-sparing diagnostic tool in clinic and a way to make joint injections more accurate, with improved pain management and patient satisfaction. She is interested in teaching residents and fellows the basic skills of ultrasonography and cultivate their interest in pediatric rheumatology as a field. She cares for patients with a wide range of rheumatologic conditions, including juvenile idiopathic arthritis, uveitis, lupus, dermatomyositis, and others. She is a member of the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance and the American College of Rheumatology.
