The intent of a clinical trial or volunteer research study is to look for new and better ways to prevent, detect, diagnose, or treat a disease. Trials and studies enroll people who are alike in some way. People who choose to participate in a trial or study share specific characteristics or eligibility criteria that may include the type of disease or condition under investigation as well as age, sex, and general health.
Our faculty and staff are always in need of qualified participants. If you are interested in participating in research currently being conducted by the Department of Psychiatry, we encourage you explore our online database.
