About the Department

Rad Onc Mural

The endeavors of our department are reflected by the clinical activities and supporting research component of the Free Radical and Radiation Biology Program (FRRBP). Each day our clinic sees over 75 cases of varying complexity that covers the spectrum and severity of all types of cancer. We provide patient centered care delivered by a professional team of physicians, nurses, therapists, dosimetrists and physicists.

Our care is not only based on current best practices but relies on research supported by the savvy application of technology in this dynamic field.

Research driven by the FRRBP is used to shape the types of cancer treatment that have proven elusive or difficult to cure. Most notably, our ensemble of six laboratories has identified ascorbate as a potential anti-cancer therapy.
